Latest information about property tax assessments in North Rosedale are below.
The NRRA has obtains assessment data from the publicly available City records
for all properties in North Rosedale. This data has been prepared by the Ontario
Municipal Assessment Corporation and provided to the City of Toronto.
Rosedale residents can obtain a hard copy of assessment values for all the
homes on their individual streets - see below. This will help determine whether
the assessed value of their property is fair.
Every three years, the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation prepares
an assessment of all properties in Ontario to a common valuation date – the
latest valuation date being June 30, 2002. Property owners in North Rosedale
received their assessment notices in the mail earlier this year, many of which
showed significant increases.
A property owner has two options if he/she does not agree with the most recent
assessment value.
Filing a Request for Reconsideration form, which results in an informal staff
review Appeal the assessment to the Assessment Review Board, an independent
tribunal.
The deadline for acting is normally March 31 each year, but
the deadline for appealing taxes has been extended to June
30, 2006.
